Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr., is a Nigerian actor, Director and a Model. He was born on 19th December, 1970 in Lagos, Nigeria. He won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2010.

Early Life and Education

Ramsey Nouah was born on 19th December, 1970. His father is from Israel while his mother is from Yoruba land, Owo, Ondo State, South Western part of Nigeria. He grew up in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria where he attended Atara Primary School and Community Grammar School, Lagos. He obtained a diploma in mass communications at the University of Lagos, after which he pursued a career in acting.

Career

Ramsey Nouah’s acting career kicked off when he starred in the Nigerian TV soap opera “Fortunes” at the age of 23, (1993-1994).

Nouah has since then appeared in numerous films starring as the lead role. He has been called “Lover-Boi” for his numerous roles in romantic film.

In 2009, he featured in a blockbuster movie “The Figurine” and In 2010 Nouah won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the Best Picture award-winning film “The Figurine”. Nouah is considered to be one of the most sought-after actors in Nigeria.

His burning desire to add creativity to the growth of Nollywood led to the establishment of his production house “Ramsey Films”

Nouah is married to Emelia Philips-Nouah. The couple has two sons and a daughter, named as Quincy, Camil Nouah and Desiree Nouah.
