This talk show is usually organize by core members who visit higher institutions for the purposed of telling students what they should expect as well as what they should expect in their service year.

It is often said: if you are not inform , you are deformed an inform person is one that is free from all unforeseen occurrences, considering the fact that you have been told of the impending problems encountered by those that have been in service.

Once NYSC portal is open, don’t hesitate to register online in their portal. NYSC registration is done online at its portal. Ask for the service of a café assistance or better still you can do it yourself. Sometimes most people do find it difficult to register in the day time because of high traffic on the portal so it is advisable to register at night when visitors are less congested.

7. Be financially suited

Before going for service, be financially suited. NYSC service like education is not for those that are poor. I’m not trying to emphasize that you must be financially buoyant before you can go for services, but you must atleast have something that can put the body and soul together. Many people do the mistake of going there with the mission of utilising Government’s monthly allowance, but the truth is that this allowance is usually not enough for corpers and sometimes it is not being paid on time. So the need for enough money is of high important.

Research has it that many non-indigenes of a particular community migrated to another community as a result of NYSC service. Some people in the quest for a greener pasture will toil the nooks and crannies of their host state in order to be employ. While others in a bid to change their settlement will want to settle in a particular community after their service year, therefore the need to be employ arises.

9. Exchange contacts

It is often said: whosoever you meet in your way up, you will surely meet in your way down. It is important to exchange contacts with your friends at home as well as your colleagues who are not privilege to serve just like you. These people will be of high important in informing you on what is going on in your community. If you belong to groups and organizations, inform them of your departure to service and exchange contacts with the members of the group.
Exchanging contact can also help you garner your first job as family and friends will want to inform you about vacancies in your community. During service, it is important for you to make friends and exchange contacts with other core members. You can also exchange contacts with employers and members of your host community.

10. Pray earnestly

Before going for service, you ought to pray earnestly for your service year. Many people have lost their lives during their service year others have passed away when journeying to their community of service.  Some corpers think it is their might others think it is their strength that has kept them alive. Whatever you are, whether Christian, Muslim or traditionalist you should have a GOD whom you pray to.
Three things to pray about:
  1. Safe journey to your destination/gift of life in your place of service
  2. Long live in your host community
